Our Purpose
The ARC Project plans to address critical student needs related to:
- Social-emotional health and wellness
- Transferring from San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) colleges to SFSU
- Transitions to careers and the workplace
Through the proposed project, SMCCCD colleges will be able to increase their capacity to better provide culturally-aligned support for the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. ARC will also address the institutional gaps and weaknesses related to the limited capacity of SMCCCD colleges and of faculty to support transfer students’ sense of belonging, as well as bridge the gaps in the cooperating institutions’ transfer pathway structure, and knowledge and data sharing.
